Why read his writing?
If you enjoy character-driven, epic fantasy, such as that written by Robert Jordan or Brandon Sanderson, then you may enjoy J.D. Gaylor’s writing. In addition, if you are interested in Japanese culture, you will find a rare authenticity to his writing. Although raised in rural Indiana, J.D. appreciates many traditional Japanese values. His fluid sense of cultural identity, Japanese language skills, and first-hand experiences living in Japan all combine to lend credibility to his characters and the world they populate.
